MY STORY

I grew up in Barranquilla, Colombia in a mixed heritage family rich in culture and imagination. This influenced my love for history, poetry and all things artistic since childhood. I have lived in coastal Colombia, Venezuela, Italy and several places in the US. In 2008 I joined a two year mentorship program with WARM (Women's Art Resources of Minnesota) under sculptor Tina Nemetz. It was then, with the added encouragement and inspiration of fellow apprentices, that I began my work as a professional artist. Working in painting and mosaics, I use both abstract and representational styles while exploring rich texture and bold color.
